Browse West DePaul with Google Street View

November 15th, 2007 by Jeff · No Comments

Wrightwood ParkI am in the process of bringing a new condo to market in Chicago’s Lincoln Park, West DePaul neighborhood.  The neighborhood boundaries are Fullerton to Diversey and Southport (or Lakewood depending on who you ask) to Ashland.  Just before listing, my client made me aware that Google Street View is available in Chicago.  Let’s browse some of the popular area attractions with Street View.

We start at 2430 N. Southport.  Click on the little person icon on the map and a live picture of the street appears. Head north on Southport past the Bird’s Nest and Southport City Saloon on your left.  Take a left on Wrightwood Avenue and arrive at Wrightwood Park just past Greenview Avenue.  Take a left on Greenview and head to Fullerton Avenue.  Take a left on Fullerton and proceed east towards the Fullerton ‘L’ stop, about a 10 minute walk from Southport.  You’ll pass Lakeshore Athletic Club on your left, the Lincoln Park Branch of the Chicago Public Library on your left, DePaul University Library on your right, Dominick’s on your right just before arriving at the Fullerton Brown Line ‘L’ station.

I have only scratched the surface of what the neighborhood has to offer, but you get the picture.  Too cool, but a little scary at the same time as you can explore the whole neighborhood without getting off the couch.
