For those that don’t care, just start to search Chicago properties.  You will be able to search more listings than ever before without having to log in. For those that do, read on.  NRT owned Coldwell Banker offices have recently started the process of making their vast number of listings more available to the consumer.  The following steps have been taken or are in process. Trulia - I turn to The Future of Real Estate Marketing as the unbiased source of info on this story. Broker Reciprocity - On a local Chicago level, NRT owned Coldwell Banker offices are now MLSNI Broker Reciprocity participants.  On a basic level, this means that you can search more Chicago listings without having to log into a website.  Of course, to search ALL Chicago area listings you still need to sign in. Agent Search Offerings - We are told that as Coldwell Banker agents we will soon be able to offer third party property search solutions on our own agent websites.  This will allow agents to offer the best search solutions to our clients and customers.  Will see if this actually happens. These are great changes.  Unfortunately they are about 5 years too late.  But as the saying goes, “Better late then never.”
