Charlie Trotter cuisine may be available on United Airlines select first and business class flights according to a Crain’s Chicago Business article by Brandon Glenn…
(Crain’s) — Renowned Chicago chef Charlie Trotter’s cuisine may be coming to a seat-back tray table near you this summer. The award-winning chef, who runs an eponymous restaurant in Lincoln Park, has reached a deal with United Airlines to create cuisine for passengers in first and business classes on certain flights, according to a statement from Elk Grove Village-based United. Entrees designed by Mr. Trotter will be available on flights to, but not from, Europe and on flights in both directions between New York’s John F. Kennedy International Airport and Los Angeles International Airport, as well each direction between JFK and San Francisco International Airport, according to a United spokesman.
I’m glad I got out of consulting when I did. Combine Trotter cuisine with the amount of traveling I did and it would only spell disaster for my waistline. I only hope that Ted doesn’t feel left out as he wasn’t invited to the party.
