There are a lot of choices to contemplate when deciding to purchase a new home or condo these days. You have basically four levels of options to consider: 1) the timeless vintage look with traditional layouts, pier mirrors, aged hardwood floors, built-in shelving and more; 2) the contemporary new construction/gut rehab/conversion style with the great room (kitchen/living room combo), new flooring, crown molding, marble, granite, stainless steel, etc; 3) the modern look with steel and glass, prefabricated enamel cabinets, formulaic designs, etc; 4) the green development w/ recycled counters, bamboo floors (grows like a weed vs.. trees), solar panels, radiant heat from the earth used to warm the building and water supply. So, with so many options, what do you choose? Lately it seems that my friends/clients are leaning towards the newer, more contemporary or modern developments that let them pick a lot of the updated and/or “green†finishes. But then what about the vintage choices? I have two classic vintage condos in the heart of Lincoln Park that are just screaming out for a vintage buyer to come snatch them up. 2604 North Burling #3 and 2550 N Seminary #1 are both cute traditional vintage condos that have great layouts, some modern amenities and amazing outdoor living spaces. Whatever you’re considering, there is a market out there for both. It just depends on who’s looking. [where: 60614]
