I must admit, I don’t get the iPhone craze. Ok, as a confessed BlackBerry, or as some folks say, CrackBerry addict, I do get it. But I’m crazy for the new BlackBerry Curve. For me, functionality and reliability trump aesthetics. My BlackBerry has saved me on many an occasion while out in the field, cruising through Chicago’s neighborhoods. No standing in long lines for me, but when the new BlackBerry Curve hit stores this week I couldn’t resist. Definitely some issues but all in all I love the phone. The thing that sold me was the capability to make and receive calls over my home office wireless network, or any accessible wireless network for that matter. I was very skeptical at first but it works. I have already connected and made calls at home and my brokerage office. Call clarity is fantastic. Now the real test will be to see if my cell phone bill declines significantly. If I cut my bill in half I will pay for the phone in about two months. Stay tuned.
