The results of latest Zillow poll are in and I do not understand why Zillow is so disliked, feared, hated, etc. I believe their goal is to ultimately commoditize the real estate transaction, but this is a programmatic feat that I do not believe can be achieved in the short term, or even long term. As many have pointed out, the number of “unzillowables” is large and increases when you move into a heterogenous market … like Chicago. Heck, in some highrises, crossing the hallway into a neighboring unit can have a major impact on price. I need to investigate the pollsters motives and accounting mechanisms in more detail, but in the meantime, thought the results make great reading over the long weekend. http://blog.sellsiusrealestate.com/?p=1874
